Guest guest
OK, have tried my first accord (?) with violet leaf, bergamot, vanilla, ginger, sweet orange, patchouli. It is delightful, if best suited to my 8 year-old who snatched it away.... " smells like Barbie " . Actually the violet leaf and bergamot are quite fleeting and then leaves the vanilla and finally the vanilla-ginger. On my skin through the day it was like unwrapping presents, a new smell revealed every couple of hours or so. Can you tell I am enjoying myself lol! I am not at all sure if I have constructed it correctly, but guessed that the patchouli provides the base note, then the ginger/vanilla the heart, then the citruses and violet the top?? Forgive my completely novice level questions! One question.Using jojoba as a carrier oil, the brown vanilla sinks to the bottom so it needs to be shaken before using. Why is this? Can I prevent it? The vanilla is an eo and not a synthetic, although I don't know the specifics of what it is. And are the other oils sinking/floating even though I can't 'see' them as I can the vanilla? with continuing thanks, Emma
