Guest guest
--Good Idea Barb! I`am still trying to figure out abbreviations. You are not alone with this. Some days I can`t even try, so I just give up and don`t even bother trying to read. nne - In , Barbara <floridabound03200@...> wrote: > > In June 2005, just by luck, I stumbled across this > wonderful group, and I thank my lucky stars every > single day that I did, because I have met a number of > wonderful people, and have gotten a tremendous amount > of helpful information during the past 9 months. > > But I often wonder, am I the only stupid person in the > group - the only person who really wishes the group > had a dictionary, specifically for this group, which > included all the abbreviations that are used? > > Oh, it took me a while, but I managed to figure out > what " MCS " meant, and " CSM " , and thanks to KC, I now > know what " VOC's " are, but there's still some initials > that I haven't figured out. Guest guest
VOC's are Volatile Organic Compounds. Chemicals that are released into the air. And PIR is Personal Impact Rating. I just learned that today! --- who <jeaninem660@...> wrote: > lol's(lots of laughs) barb, your not alone, I knew > what MCS was , > but what is voc? for new comers it might be good to > sometimes write > it out., i still dont know what csm is, just know > meds. > > > > > > In June 2005, just by luck, I stumbled across this > > wonderful group, and I thank my lucky stars every > > single day that I did, because I have met a number > of > > wonderful people, and have gotten a tremendous > amount > > of helpful information during the past 9 months. > > > > But I often wonder, am I the only stupid person in > the > > group - the only person who really wishes the > group > > had a dictionary, specifically for this group, > which > > included all the abbreviations that are used? > > > > Oh, it took me a while, but I managed to figure > out > > what " MCS " meant, and " CSM " , and thanks to KC, I > now > > know what " VOC's " are, but there's still some > initials > > that I haven't figured out. Guest guest
Now, that one I figured out after it was prescribed to us. hehehe Shoot I could have shared that one, thank you barb. Now can we think of any others. LOL Anyone want to ask at this time, we are on a roll today. Re: Re: [] Re: Stupid Me! > Yes, it is nice to share, but I almost forgot to share > what CSM is. I recall my first month on this list and was so lost not understanding the " sickbuilding language " . Perhaps we should all ask if we don't understanding something. No question is really stupid. Guest guest
I think that there are some other words to describe CSM, that better describe it. You will remember it if it is described like Dr. S, and some others described it. Yak snot, Metimucial, just to name a few. LOL What the heck happened to those words, all bold, can't fix it. hmmmm Well, sorry about that. Re: Re: [] Re: Stupid Me! > Yes, it is nice to share, but I almost forgot to share > what CSM is. Guest guest
I agree with you Rosie. I even still am a bit embarrassed to ask. I think you just feel when you come here, that you should know what it means. But, that is not true. We should be able to ask. I will try to do this in the future, or if we see an abbrev. we should remember to post what it means if someone forgets to. I think this will help all.
