Guest guest
I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am new to BFL.... Ummm.. I haven't even bought the book yet. I will today. I am very motivated by all of your pictures etc. I quit smoking, drinking alchohol, started eating 5-6 small meals a day, and walking and doing some weights on naughtilis ( is that how its spelled ? :-) machines this past November. I have gone from 46% BF to 32%. I am happy with that but I want better results, FASTER.......LOL. OK are those pictures of before an after in 4, 8, 12 weeks for real ? Whats keeping people from sending in a photo from the previous year and saying they lost the weight in 4 weeks ? I am thinking about the BFL challenge in Aug 2004, does it cost to do the challenge? Or to become a 'member' on the website ? How many of the suppliments would I really need to buy ? I am a student ATM an funds are tight ...........GAH ! :-( I do take Whey protein, udo's oil, multi-vitamins an a few other extras like calcium and c etc. " Thanks for any advice, help etc........... (My brain is mush.... LOL, I just finished A & P 1 yesterday and start A & P 2 on Tue.) Nurse Wannabe, Anjil_43
Guest guest
Congratulations on making all those healthy changes. Yes, the pictures are real. All of us here have done it ourselves and seen those changes in our own bodies and with our own eyes. Check out the club photo section over on the left of the screen. Those are our pictures, not necessarily ones that have been entered in a contest. Back in the day, EAS used to require competitors to hold the day's newspaper in each photo, submit original negatives, provide dated prints. Finalists had to undergo background checks and take polygraph and drug tests. I don't know how much of that they still do. I've never entered. Also, the photo is only half the score. The essay counts for 50%. It doesn't cost anything to enter, and I believe you get coupons and t-shirts and goodies just for finishing (or you used to). If you want to enter the contest officially you need to use an EAS supplement. I think technically, it could be one bar or one tub of protein though. You don't have to purchase a 12-week supply of the entire product line. :-) If you're doing this for yourself, it's not necessary to use any supplements at all. Most of us don't officially enter the EAS challenge. Let us know if you have more questions. Hi everyone :-) Newbie lookin for info here.... I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am new to BFL.... Guest guest
Anjil, I sympathize with you on the A & P mushy brain syndrome!! I took A & P II along with Nutrition 223 (which was a bitch, pardon my language....highest grade in the class was a 65, no kidding!!), Chemistry 221, and English 102. My poor brain was so fried by the end of the semester....all Idid that summer was lay by the pool, read trashy novels, and await my acceptance into nursing school. Oh, and successfully complete a BFL challenge....LOL. But it's an interesting class so it was worth it....not too mention we used cadavers to dissect instead of kitties. I didn't mind waking up at 7am on Saturday morning to go spend the entire day in class and lab. Good luck with the class and good luck w/nursing in the future. After working 6 months in the ICU, I know it was the best decision I made to go back to school and work on my degree!! In two more semesters it will be over and I will be a bonafide RN (fingers crossed). M. anjil_43 <anjil_43@...> wrote: I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am new to BFL.... Ummm..
