Now I'm laughing reading this, remembering the days working for the vets, and them " expressing the anal glands " of dogs .. man, they thought I was a crazy enough kid as it was, if only I had thought to ask them for the expressed anal glad secretions in a jar to bring home and tincture <grinz> *lol* Anya wrote: > Now, snipping some goat hair from a rutting male, or tincturing some fossilized hyrax stuff is OK. Anything that doesn't harm, and I don't have to collect ;-) Now I have to tell you this, and I totally forgot until now .. My friend is a goat owner but got rid of her billy, so she asked her friend who has a billy about trimming his hair by the horns when he is in rut for the musk scent. Well, despite the fact this gal thinks I must be nuts, she was about to clip the hairs from around his horns but then said that his head was about the only part of his body that DID NOT smell like musky male funk! She said it is those lower parts that they get excited and " spoo " all over (for lack of a more PC term - sorry guys that have the musky funky male goat smell to them (and I suppose the reason for the pungent odor is obvious . I asked my friend to ask her billy owner buddy if during the next rutting season she can cut me whatever it is that stinks from him - that is IF she can get near her billy without him trying to molest her. I hear that can be a challenge, but being a born and bred NYC gal I know very little about such things! *lol* *Smile* Chris Jasmine & Orange Blossom Floral Waxes LAST DAYS TO ORDER AT PRE-BUY PRICES! http://www.alittleolfactory.com
