Folks that are AT people... Welllllll..... A lady who was into AT before I was..... Gave me a bottle of Lavender EO.... Young Living, as a matter of fact... Put this on burns, cuts or whatever and it will work...she said... Said to myself.... OK.... I consider her one of those basic buddies everyone should have... She's always been not part of the normal curve..... And I love her for her smarts....and also she's kind of cute...<G>... I saw.... New Age types, sitting around and sniffing things....(This was a while back)... So....OK... Burned myself on my oven, nasty..... Put the Lav on neat..... Killed the pain, no blister, no nasty anything..... WHAT....? Maybe this isn't just New Age hype or babble ...maybe there's something else happening here... Besides....Lavender smells *nice*... So...I started research.....and entered the World of AT... I call myself Gatefossian...from the guy who published his ideas.... Coined the term " Aromatherapie " ... His idea was that EO could not only disinfect (an EO is one of the nastiest things most any kind of pathogen can ever face) but that it could enhance *healing* in addition to disinfecting...That it would work *with* the human organism....to enhance health... I'm maybe a tad simplistic here... Lotsa claims have been made for AT.... Hype, garbage, or downright dangerous nonsense...sometimes... Gattefosse was a *Perfumer*, when he wasn't dealing with the Wounds of War.... That's worth thinking about, to anyone who's into NP.... So....onereally can follow the other (NP) ....NO....? Or...whichever way for the two....? -- W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique

Was the first essential oil I had ever " met " .... I don't know about the quality of the YL products, as that lavender's the only YL oil I have ever owned... The lavender intrigued me....and when she explained about the MLM aspect to YL....and laid some of the literature on me.... I figured there had to be better places to find these things..... Convinced her shortly thereafter, too....<G>... -- W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique
