Guest guest
What difference is there in adding plant materials like vanilla beans, benzoin tears etc to alcohol or oil (for giving then a good fixing quality) from adding essential oils, absolutes and resinoids of the same? Which will make the solvent a better fixative? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Which will make the solvent a better fixative? I've never conducted a study on this, but I think the fixative properties would be just about the same. Any little variation would be minimal, but it might be a nice experiment for someone to try.
