Let us know what happens. I just can't get into doing it with my cats, though, " essence of Boodles " just doesn't have a poetic ring to it. ;-) Anya http://.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume / Biggest, most dynamic natural perfumery chat group on the Web http://anyasgarden.com Natural Perfume, by design - take a sneak peek before May, 2006 launch

I have a question for you. I was told by a vet that housecats have anal sacks near their (what else?) anus. That is where the " civet " is produced. It mixes with urine, but the most potent source of cat " elixir " is the anal sack. I know people who have shown cats in Cat Fanciers shows and some of them " express the anal sacks " of their pets before they take them so shows so they won't " dump their anal sacks " out of fear or aggession when they are in the show ring. So, you can extract the (astoundingly potent) musk of your housecat as a pure compound without having to seperate the urine from it. I bet a vet would show you how to do it, or a show cat owner in your area (they are everywhere and usually very eager to help, especially in this case). You might even get a huge following among show cat owners for any blends you come up with (!). " I want to smell like Fluffy! " No kidding. Good luck. ---Fabienne
