Unda 48 & children - Reyn update

You have some of the most interesting cases.

I am suspicious that there is more that wheat involved.

This history makes me suspicious of celiac disease (since he didn't grow much after 12 months). So even before the food allergy panel is done, I think he needs to stop ALL GLUTEN products -and she needs to be strict.

Did his MD do any blood tests? CBC - could he be anemic (blood loss and malabsorption)?

Polyps at 4 yo is very serious - he will have colon cancer in 20-30 years unless this is corrected.

While he has signs of TB miasm, this polyp is very concerning to me and makes me want to deal with it as if he is sycotic miasm. He is too young to have other symptoms than the chronic mucous (catarrh).

So what is he doing?

Focus needs to remain on lower bowel.

It is not wrong to use #48, but let's see what happpens by attempting to decrease the inflammation in the GI. (The DIET will be essential to be successful)

[Please excuse detail - want to give enough so you understand case progression.]

Speaking of not using Unda 48 with children, please advise. I just (Tuesday) started Reyn on Unda 48 per following development. (Dr. Thom knows some of case history - next paragraph for Unda group information, Dr. Thom can skip to following paragraph).

Reyn is a little 4 yr old boy of Japanese descent. First visit 5/2003. Since he was 1 years old he started coughing so hard that he would vomit everything he had in his little body.  This included while eating, while playing, while sleeping in the middle of the night.  Doctor's said he would outgrow it but the mom had gotten increasingly concerned because he is very tiny compared to his brother and the rest of their family who are tall and large for Japanese families.  Mom thought he was vomiting out all of his nutrients. (He was so used to vomiting at age 3.5 that if he was in the house and was going to vomit he got his little bowl, threw up, and then went to the sink and washed it out.  If he was playing he would run to the side of the field and throw up and get back in the game. No emotional drama about it.) Stanford docs had recommended zantac right before he came, but found nothing wrong with him structurally, etc., and "no real food allergies to speak of, IgE". His vomiting was always preceded by a coughing fit.   Started with Replete and castor oil on belly.  First night after castor oil being rubbed on his belly he threw up immediately. His mom came back next day to pick up Unda #'s.   Since there seemed to be a lung - stomach axis happening he started with Unda 5, 35, 220  AM & PM and Unda 4 & 24 mid day. The day after first night dose of unda numbers he stopped coughing. Threw up a tiny bit the 2nd night when he awoke with a small cough (but mom had forgotten to give him his night dose of Unda #s).  Since then he is no longer coughing and is no longer throwing up. He was also taking Rescue Remedy. (The mom decided not to start the zantac that was prescribed for him by the Stanford docs.)

After initial set of Unda 5, 35, 220 AM & PM and Unda 4, 24 mid day (and added EFA's, some magnelevures, skin brushing, HMF, MnCO - never completed this).

We continued on different sets of lung numbers (2, 5, 35 or 5, 35, 220 sometimes 4 & 24, sometimes 4 & 24) and stomach numbers, taking them morning and evening only (waiting a few minutes between "sets") over the next 5 months.  Toward month 4 or 5 started using Unda #'s acutely only - if cold season or if he seemed to have breathing difficulty, coughing or had (one of a few) vomiting episodes. Seemed to immediately reharmonize his system

In November Mom called, Reyn had intermittent blood in stool. Dr. said take Milk of Magnesia and report in.   Did one round of 8, 36, 243 and aloe vera 3x per day in water. He has been on HMF throughout.  (no change bleeding still intermittent at tip of stool)  I thought might be due to so much more volume passing through entirety of G.I. tract after few years of throwing up.  No change.

December tried Unda 3, 243, and Intestinal Permeabilty Factors (powder containing glutamine, etc.) & Aloe & cal phos & tissue salts melange.  No change.

January retried Unda 8, 36, 74 and HMF (he didn't like Permeability factors) and finish Aloe liquid.  Dr. Thom said he had never seen blood in stool resolve if there are food allergies. (Mom thought she saw hemmorhoid popping out).   Used proctosan cream. Seemed to help, not sure.

Mom out of touch for a while, then called and said still no change.  Got serious about taking wheat and dairy out, seemed to make a difference but not definitive - and not completely out.   Focused on hydration, fiber, etc.   Everytime Reyn went to bathroom he shouted "blood" or "no blood" - non traumatic event.   Have been nudging mom for months to have food allergy panel. 

Mom said a mole appeared on Reyn's head (left side behind ear) - doc watching it, size and shape "suspicious".

Mom finally had order for complete G.I. evaluation, colonscopy & lower & upper.  Mom demanded IgG panel. Doc said RAST is IgG. I started to doubt myself. Mom insisted, called lab who confirmed RAST is IgE.  Doctor open and now wants to meet. Ordered IgG of wheat, dairy, peanuts, corn only. Found level 4 intolerance to wheat.

Colonoscopy etc. revealed:  inflamed G.I. tract, a sizable polyp which was removed and is benign but was covered with bacteria and looked infected, skin feels weak but may not be hemmorhoid.

6/21/04 - started Reyn on 3, 48, 50, 243 [Reyn is now 4 years old]. Been on HMF whole year. Told Mom only use Lung or stomach numbers if any problem, and in that case stop this protocol.  Reyn is taking 5 drops 2x per day.   I thought to use 48 because a polyp indicates unhealthy cell growth.  Also added HTYP (some allergy trouble during high pollen season which required use of Lung #'s again).  IS UNDA 48 WARRANTED AT THIS POINT? if not, what would be a better approach? WE WILL GET A COMPLETE ALLERGY PANEL, MOM WILL NOW BE MORE SERIOUS ABOUT WHEAT REMOVAL.  REYN HAS GROWN THIS YEAR & energy good, BUT STILL NOT REALLY CATCHING UP WITH WHAT IS PROBABLY HIS GENETIC POTENTIAL. i BELIEVE WE HAVE TO HEAL UP G.I., BUT ALSO BELIEVE WE HAVE TO GET TO THE ROOT SO THAT WE ARE NOT FIGHTING FIRES.  DOCTOR SAID TO MOM, "i THINK i'LL SEE YOU AGAIN." I[Groan] I'D LIKE THAT NOT TO BE TRUE.

Active, somewhat hyper

Didn't talk much till 2.5 years. When first came he went to speech therapy. Said low sensory in mouth, hard to understand him, not well defined words.

Shy around strangers, talks to family & friends at normal speed.

Neither he nor brother ever picked things up off of floor and put them in their mouths as kid.

Feeds self with fork and spoon.

Ionic purifier had lessened incidents of throwing up at night.

Doesn't like meat generally except pork.

When throws up telegraphs his intent by eyes rolling back.

Didn't grow from 12-18 months.

In morning had phlegm in throat and could hear it in his breathing - mucous clear and colorless.

Quite a few bouts of ear infections and antibiotics.  Previous year had 4 or 5 earache episodes with antibiotics.  Earliest antibiotics before Age 1.

Skin drier side.

Feisty on all levels if doesn't get his way.

Likes to be touched.

Doctor said suspected asthma and allergies - did IgE only.

Likes fruit not huge on sweets. likes water.

C-section birth. So antibio with birth.

Grandmother has polyps and allergies (mom's mom).

Mom healthy

Dad has airborn allergies and hayfever (owns nursery). Was on med's no longer uses.

I don't know if I'm looking at a Psoric or Tuberculinic miasm. Not hyper immune, but intestine problems, vomits to jettison things off, but now seeing polyps. But mom has never let fever get high and he has not had lots of bronchitis - more coughing and earaches.

I think Tuberculinic due to influence of antibiotics.

Think he needs adrenal phase support and Thyroid (due to speech delayed, speech therapy), early onset of  troubles.

How to best proceed?
