Guest guest
Loreen, Hello - I have looked through some sources related to moon lodge and menstruation and they all describe it similar to how Christiane Northrup describes the ebb and flow in her book Women's Bodies Women's Wisdom - pp 105 - 108 with some studies supporting the increased ovulation at full moon and increased frequency of menstruation at new moon. The reverse of course happens and I have been on the reverse several times in my life - mostly when not exposed to the moonnight during sleep. If you don't have the book to refer to I will try to paraphrase it but she seems to explain it most in detail. Polinsky Vancouver, B.C. Q - Regulating Menstrual Cycle Hello Wise Ones I have some questions for all of you about regulating menstrual cycle using UNDA, drainage, etc. If you use UNDA #8 to help regulate the cycle, what do you use with it? Say there is no other particular pathology except irregular cycles. Do you use other cardiovascular numbers? Or endocrine numbers? I was thinking of trying 8, 9, 24… not sure why, but seemed to make sense at the time, but wondering if any of you have had particularly good success other combinations. I am also a bit puzzled by something else. All the info we have from our UNDA conference, and some other sources, say that women “should” menstruate on the new moon, and ovulate on the full moon. Long ago, I was told the opposite. The reason for this is that the new moon gives us the idea of possibility, imminent creation, so seems like the right time to release an egg, and the right time to conceive. The full moon is when everything is at its fullness, including the uterus. At the turning of the tides, the moon begins to wane, then the uterus also begins to shed, so bleeding happens during the waning moon. In this scenario, menses would commence on the full moon. This is how it was explained to me once and it has always made sense. I know there must be a reason for the opposite. Could someone please explain it to me … menses on the new moon and ovulation on the full moon? Thanks.
