RE: question for the group; CSM vs welchol

I have been on CSM for 3 months. Began having a MS exacerbation with extreme

weakness in arms and legs in past 2 weeks and my Dr following shoemaker

protocol said he would look into other options but otherwise wanted me back

on CSM for now. (I had stopped for a week while waiting for 3rd follow-up

appt). I am on the CSM yellow power btw.

having the rare side effects. lost 30 lbs in one month, severe muscle

weakness " espically in arms " , severe cognative issues and memory problems,

and started throwing up " looked like there was dark colored blood,when I

gagged. I called DR. Shoemaker and he switched me to " welchol " . Has anyone

taken welchol? any information would be appreciated. I was taken

cholestyramine orange powder by Eon Labs.

Hi ,

Have you been tested for lyme ? If you have lyme, the symptoms can get

exacerbated when on CSM. MS and lyme are VERY much linked.

I was diagnosed with MS in 1989. I have been able to handle very well. I have

relapsing and remitting MS( the kind Montel has).

Since being exposed to Stachybotrys Mold @ work....my life took a turn

straight down hill. I have never been this sick with the MS. I still get the

weird electricial shocks and numbness but the other awful syptoms are from the

Mold. GOD....I wish I just had MS!!!!.

Please take care of yourself and remember MS does not mean a death

sentence.Keep the faith.

I have the electrical shock symptoms too, , & MUCH numbness, of

course....
