Guest guest
I've been brewing and decanting Kombucha for 3 years. A few months ago, my " mushroom " went moldy, so, I acquired a new one. The taste is becoming a problem and I think it may be that I'm letting it grow too long. With both mushrooms, the taste has always varied a bit. Sometimes it can be quite yummy. The worst taste is always the same, though - Old Gym Sock. Yep, it tastes as though an old, nasty gym sock has been steeping in it. Ten days is my usual grow time. It seems to take that long to develop a good baby. Is it too long? Am I completely off base with my theory about the taste? Has anyone else experienced this? Birdie Hanson San , Texas
