Guest guest
Newbie here. I read in the forum that a wheatgrass can grow to 9 inches tall. The problem I have is that by using easygreen sprouter, I can grow my wheatgrass to maximum height of 5.5 inches. This is because of the limitation of growing container. I lived in a tropical country where the temperature runs between 30 to 38 Celsius (86 to 100 Fahrenheit). I want my wheatgrass to grow to 8 to 9 inchess tall. Can anybody help me on what to do? Thank you.
Guest guest
I have an easygreen sprouter as well. Once they hit the ceiling, take the tray out 0f the sprouter and water the grass a couple of times a day outside the sprouter. At this stage the grass doesn't need as frequent waterings and can get more light to green up before you juice it.Leave the trays out of the unit from this point on. I generally don't let the grass get very tall, as I feel it tastes better and is less prone to mold the quicker you harvest it. Growing wheatgrass in easygreen Newbie here. Guest guest
Hi fixman -- I do just about what does with my wheatgrass. I do let them bend their little green heads against the top of the sprouter for about 3/4 " to 1 " before I pull the tray. I then set it on top of the sprouter and water 2-3x per day (over sink) for another day or maybe two, while I start the next batch below. The sprouts get plenty of light from the 40 watt bulb above my stove. I agree with , cut early if you live in a very warm/humid spot. For me, the juice tastes fresher from younger sprouts, and you avoid molding. Best, Molly > > I have an easygreen sprouter as well.
