Guest guest
, The manual downloaded fine and appears to be in good shape. Your design does appear to help, but is not quite what I need. I am feeding things through an " and " object (one augment, 2 inhibit channels), and made the changes you suggested to " timing " on the midi object coming from " and " to the " trigger " on midi. Even so, there is not a regular 3 second delay after feedback before the next feedback tone can sound. For instance, if the signal for the theta inhibit goes back and forth quickly across the threshold there can be a series of feedback sounds with very little latency (<.5 sec.). Also, the whole fix only applies to sounds; I would like the video also to stop for the 3 seconds. The point of all this is to allow the brain a period of 3 seconds or so to go into a state of " post reinforcement synchronization, " (PRS, i.e., alpha following reward) which is when Sterman posits that long term potentiation is taking place. This is analogous to the strengthing of learning during sleep. More reinforcements taking place during the interval when the brain needs to be in a PRS interfere with learning. I think we need a whole new object called " pause " which stops all reinforcement (but not recording of EEG and display of it) after a reinforcement.
