Guest guest
Hi, right back at cha, Here in California, where I live there are all kinds of permits, inspections and licences involed with selling food that you have grown yourself. I would suggest that you check with healt officals about that before you do anything. Most of us in this group only grow for personal consumption. I hope that some one in the group does grow commercially and can answer your questions. I think that there are some videos on You Tube that might help. Anyone else have any info for G?ew Microgreens Date: Sun, 30 Aug 2009 14:51:04 -0000 Hi there, I am living in South Africa and would like some advice on growing micros comercially and wondered if I had come to the right place? Guest guest
It's the same here in Canada you have to have licenses and be inspected by the environmental health agencies,, I can't sell my eggs... Do you know, I can't even give them away to the local food bank charity? I used to give my extra eggs to them to help them out but one time we went with some eggs and the pubic health guy was there and said they couldn't accept them... I can understand that they have to be careful but still..... Guest guest
Hi there, I have been through the chain of permits, nose rubbing and all the above!! My big question is- all the write ups mention " spread the seed liberally " . My trays are 19 " x13 " and was wondering if there was a better explaination. I know that sounds idiotic- but I am a little worried about under sowing or over for that matter. Guest guest
I used to sell my eggs out of the back of my car at church. I knew it was not legal, but my friend knew I was organic and the eggs were sure good.ew Re: Microgreens Hi, right back at cha, Here in California, where I live there are all kinds of permits, inspections and licences involed with selling food that you have grown yourself. Guest guest
G, this is a learning curve situation. Sow one and make a note of how much seed you used. Then increase or decrease to get the right amount. ew Re: Microgreens > > Hi, right back at cha, Here in California, where I live there are all > kinds of permits, inspections and licences involed with selling food that > you have grown yourself. Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group and to sprouting. I recently purchased a microgreen sprouter, and am not having luck with it. My sprouts seemed to start out ok, but then the slowed and seemed to die off. I thought it was too cold in my house with the AC on all the time, so I moved them into my empty orchidarium (orchids are currently outside). It didn't seem to help. Maybe they were too far gone. I didn't reinstall my fan in the greenhouse, so maybe there wasn't enough circulation, even though they were in there by themselves. Any suggestions?? I want to try again, but I don't want to make the same mistakes. Maybe I overwatered?? The directions say to water the baby blanket, not the sprouts, but I'm not quite sure how to do that evenly without soaking it. Thanks in advance for any replys.
