,Thank you for your concern. I do know of the risks, however, I had some

concerns that outweighed the risks and decided to have the tests. Very true that

mainstream medicine is not always in cinch with good health practices. I do my

best though, and make a case by case determination for myself. And keep eating

those broccoli sprouts!:) n

n,

I do not doubt that not only the broccoli sprouts but all the other healthy food

you eat is capable of overcoming the risks that we all encounter everyday  in

terms of carcinogenic factors.  Not likely that anything harmful would have a

chance of getting very far in your nutrient rich body.  It was just that knowing

what I know about radiation dangers that prompted me to go off on a tangent when

you spoke of having a mammogram.  And when I think of all the unaware people who

fly frequently who are putting themselves  at risk via of body scanners  ( and

you know darned well they aren't sprouting or even eating a half decent diet) it

makes me furious how ignorant and unconcerned the govt. is to force them on the

public.

Anyway, I am glad you got a good report on your tests, at least they got that

right, as many times they give false positive results and cause women to have

surgery and horrific emotional distress.  Just one more reason to eat healthy

stay away from the medical crowd.

I believe mammograms are dangerous and not vary good diagnostic tests anyway. I

have never had one and dont know where you get them, but I have heard about

thermal imaging that is a better diagnostic test and has none of the risk of

mammograms.

You are doing good, if only a few million more were eating them there would be a

drastic reduction of cancer of every kind.  Sadly, the Health Safety bill, ready

to pass in congress, will eventually shut down our sources of natural and

organic food, which will affect being able to get non- genetically  modified

seed.

Hi.

Is this the bill you are talking about? Because if it is, it's getting a blue

slip because someone goofed.

Here's the article

http://www.naturalnews.com/030588_Food_Safety_bill_blue_slip.html

Tell me I read this right?

Nothing is getting passed in Congress (so far), right?

Well, I'll chime in too on this topic.

I completely agree with you and so does a nurse that I know.

Just my two cents. Keeping it simple.

Melody,

Yes, this is right, I got an email about it right after I posted about it.  They

are going to shelve it til next year and I cannot imagine a majority of rep.s in

the house even debating it.    I think it was the result of millions of calls,

emails, faxes that protested to the congress critters.   It passed in the senate

something like 73-26 so it really seemed like a done deal.   It would have been

a nightmare, to the point that if you even grew a tomato in your back yard you

could be fined or put in jail.  Talk about answer to prayer and the power of the

people who let their voices be heard.

I read that S 510 passed the Senate by overwhelming number. They should not be

originating spending bills as they are usurping the power of the House. It will

raise food prices and do nothing to make food safer. In fact the opposite. The

house can still stop it and I sure hope they will. I called my representative.
