Although molds produce various substances, such as mVOC's, mycotoxins are the warriors that fight off other molds. Is that a correct analogy? There are those who hold the firm belief that intentional reconfiguration of " chemical weapons " doesn't exist, but the entire concept of " secondary metabolites " was constructed to refer to those fungal metabolites which serve no other purpose.
