My husband, , is currently sprouting lentils in a little jar on the sink. It's our first sprout attempt! We've both become low carbers--due to diabetes blood sugar issues--and since beans have tons of carbs we're limiting our intake. Still we'd like all the nutrition beans can offer--so sprouts seemed the way to go. We're also currently growing lettuces, broccoli, and radishes. We get lots of sun here in the springtime--but since we're on the California Coast--our summers are quite cool and foggy. So --no tomatoes or corn for us!
