RE: WHO WILL FACE THIS ISSUE!! PRE-ELECTION DAY E-News from Marilyn

Bonilla Krantz Campaign

As mayor I would actively advocate for the removal of toxic mold in our schools,

or other government-owned buildings and facilities. I am very aware of the

health hazards of toxic substances in our environment. If you have specific

information about this problem in Parkland please email me the details. The

polls open in just a few hours. Regardless of the outcome of this election I

would appreciate the information. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Marilyn Bonilla Krantz

BALTIMORE -- Workers who claim mold in their office in Baltimore

made them sick are going to court.

The 51 employees of the City Department of Social Services said the

toxic mold was caused by a leak from a sewer pipe at the building on

North Hilton Street. The workers want $10 million each for

negligence. The families of four workers who died are suing for

another $10 million.

Towson attorney ph said the plaintiffs became ill

before March 2003 -- the date that officials acknowledged the mold

was present and moved the workers out of the building.

The suits claimed the city failed to maintain the sewer line and

claim the landlord -- the land Economic Development Corporation -

- was responsible for keeping mold out of the building.

The mold has been removed and the building has been reoccupied.
