Guest guest
Hi - Lily's ribs aren't fused, and yeah - the coordinator at Boston Childrens was mentioning about the stiff rib problem with the rib. He also said that Dr. Emans doesn't believe in bracing after a growth rod (at least not after a certain period of time, etc) - which made me feel better about whichever decision we make. The rib, right now, sounds like a very major operation as opposed to the growth rod and the coordinator said Dr. Emans always tries to go for the smallest proceedure possible . . .me too <G> I agree that the decision process is agonizing - I'd really like Dr. Emans to feel strongly one way or the other. take care - Steph -- In infantile scoliosis treatment , " heathersprigg " <heathersprigg@y...> wrote: > Steph, > > We are also trying to decide between the growth rod or the rib.
