Guest guest
Hi EW: The email I sent you was to your actual email address. I didn't post it on this message board. I guess with all the email responses from this board, it's quite easy to think it was an actual post. The reason I was curious if I could put all my veggies in the bit OSO FRESH was that I often get LOTS OF VEGGIES from friends, more than a person can eat in one week. I just wanted to know if I could mix zucchini, carrots, broccoli, bok coy and put it in the one big container. It would be a lot easier if I could do this. But I read where you put greens in bags. So I'll put the bok choy in a separate bag. And thanks much for the info on the Sablefish. Guess they sell that in the fish stores near my home. And I knew you didn't use liquid kelp. I had gotten that free one which lasted me for YEARS. Now I don't use anything. It's just nice to learn new stuff. I don't want to throw money away on some water scam thing. I'll just keep reading and learning. Thanks much Melody > > > And didn't you get my email about storing veggies. I am trying to pick your brain. I want to put a whole bunch of veggies including bok choy into the big OSO Fresh container (I just got the whole set). I wrote you. > > EW answers: > Yes, I did see that e-mail. I didn't realize that it was directed to me. As fast as you eat your sprouts, I keep wondering why you worry so much about storing them. > As for the other vegetables. I don't store vegetable like squash in anything. Zucchini and other summer type squashes go in the fridge, but not in bags. Greens go in bags. Each in its own bag. I don't get upset if something starts to turn, because I just trim it and send the trimmings to the compost pile. Its a win-win situation for me. > Winter squashes are stored in a cool dry place. They stand up really well. I usually have a dozen butternut and a half a dozen spaghetti squash , plus others stored for the winter, but this year, I had a crop failure and only got one butternut and one spaghetti squash - and its already been eaten. I will have to shop at the farmer's market this year. > ew > > >
