Guest guest
The Amen clinic could give you a fuller picture of the current brain activity, but the metabolic disorders are progressive, and braintraining is ultimately driven by symptom presentation. And if the child has a metabolic disorder, adding meds is unlikely to be desireable. If the family is willing/able to travel, perhaps it would be worthwhile to have them begin training with Sue Othmer and continue with you after she's optimized the protocol. With a child so young, it makes sense to have them start with somone who has experience with babies - and I know Sue does. Guest guest
Aloha , Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. We will suggest the girls mother get in touch with Sue Othmer. We did training with Sue when she was with EEG Spectrum and have a great deal of respect for her. Mahalo again for your response. and ah Advanced Biofeedback of Kauai -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of psychologics@... Guest guest
Another suggestion might be for the family to contact Coralee , MD at the Institutes for Human Potential in Philly. She heads up the neurofeedback program there and they also work with metabolic issues. Coralee is very knowledgeable about nutritional and physiotherapy procedures to enhance brain development in children with all sorts of neurodevelopmental disorders. I understand that they have an international client base and have a strong parent training component so that treatment continues at home. They also are doing Q's and NF, with some amazing success stories, despite their brief time with clients- I think a week or ten days every 6 months or year. I could see that program dovetailing nicely with Sue Othmer's protocal development experience, which is only emerging at the Institutes. Good luck to you, Sheila RE: Looking for feedback for an 18 month old girl. Aloha , Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. We will suggest the girls mother get in touch with Sue Othmer.
