That's why I call it the minstrel's fuel ...riding my pushbike through 'hell and high water' fortified with it! Sometimes it feels as though Kombucha has replaced the blood in my veins ;-) It's great, I agree. On a good day 1-1 1/2 litres (a litre is about a pint and 3/4), on a forgetful day, 1/2 a litre. I see, you are the cautious kind.... tablespoons! I've thrown caution to the wind a long time ago... except for more and more water to accompany the Kombucha, to counteract the dehydrating effect. I am amused :-) Margret having a forgetful day ;-) -- +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Minstrel@... www.therpc.f9.co.uk +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Help, I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe! Len, Seemingly for ever ;-) I and my hubby, who drinks even more than I do, are doing really well and thriving on it. Kombucha is our house drink. So, when other unenlightened persons drink the dreaded coke or similar pop, much of it overloaded with aspartame and other lethal stuff, Graham and I drink Kombucha and lots of water in the knowledge, that it doesn't only taste good, but IS good. Take care, buzzingly, Margret....longing for another tipple (after just having come home from a long bike ride ...:-) -- +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Minstrel@... www.therpc.f9.co.uk +---------------------------------------------------------------+ The man who would lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd. Guest guest
The replacement 'buzz' from kombucha can also be used to wean oneself off higher alcohol drinks. I replaced a 6 pack a day mintenence level to diluted Kt, and sometimes I'd add a touch of tabasco to give it a kick. Instead of reaching for a beer from the refrigerator after work or play, I'd made up a Kt cocktail. Part of the replacement effect was the ritual of pouring a measure of kt, topping it with water and then a touch of something which would vary from Ederberry teas to ginseng to cayenne or other herb tinctures or infusions. Once I sat down with the cocktail in my hand I never once missed the beer. I still can have a beer or two with company but I leave it at that. Funny thing thought, I don't get that buzz that others get but maybe it's because I sip on diluted Kt and don't down a lot at one time. rusty
