I know the freshest is best, but the season of barter fairs and festivals is nearly upon us, and I would like to bring KT along. I brew my own beer, and was thinking of bottling in recycled (and cleaned/sanitized) beer bottles. Any tips or suggestions for this? The metal caps have a plastic gasket/barrier coating, so the metal would ever touch the metal cap, not all that different from storebought KT. Will putting the KT in a closed container stop fermentation, or do I need to cool it to a certain temperature (and if so, do I have to maintain that low temperature).
