Guest guest
Hi I'm Bert from Australia. I can tell you how I got around the xrays on disc problem. We have to carry our xrays from Australia to England and I also needed to email them to doctors, newspapers etc. The first lot I stuck up on a glass door with the sun coming in behind them and took photos of them with the digital camera. Then I burnt them onto the one Cd. In England after Bridget's cast was put on I took a photo of the xray up on the lit up xray display board. ( I have no idea what that lit up board is called) Anyway those digital photos came up perfectly, the xray is posted on the photo section of this site under bert and bridget. Do you have a kind GP who would let yu do this with your xrays? It worked well for us. The one place won't give me the original, and they won't call me back. I can't figure out what else to do. The hospital she had the ones taken at last time say they can only do her latest one. It sure would be nice to only take the cds with the next time we fly to Boston instead of the big attache case of x rays. My dad was saying to take them to a photographer and have them try. I tried Kinkos already. anyway thanks. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Where they were taken shouldn't matter! They are YOUR CHILD'S records. You are entitled to copies if you want/need them. I would draft a letter to both places and say that you are aware that you are entitled to copies of all your child's records. I would do the same for all her drs. so you have a complete file of your own. Speaking from experience, Boston was very impressed and happy that I had all the stuff with me. I think you will have a hard time copying actual x-rays in "a public place" meaning staples, kinkos etc. - most places won't do it due to lack of proper equipment, privacy issues and the potential for damage. I would be happy to help you with a letter. You may also want to talk with your child's ortho or primary care dr. they may be able to help you. Guest guest
I work for a place in Ohio called Click Camera. We can make copies, digital or photos of xrays. Its a new thing just this month. If you cant find a place near you (photo finishing place not a photographer) let me know. I know how important these are to us families. I can have you mail me a set and get it back to you. Just a thought. Im not sure of the price, but I get 30% off whatever it is. ($10-15??) > > Hi Gail, > thanks, the problem is that we had the x rays taken at different > places. It took us so long to get x rays. Guest guest
We take a photo of it up on the board in the dark room. No lights just the light board. With a digital camera. Most film developing places can put 35mm film onto a CD now too. > > Hi Gail, > thanks, the problem is that we had the x rays taken at different > places. It took us so long to get x rays.
