Guest guest
Pete, can you tell me the difference between 2C squish and 2C squish PET? thanks, Sue
Guest guest
One has the 2 extra filters that smooth out the PET display of the raw waveforms and the power spectrum (I'll let you guess which one it is.) Guest guest
I'd guess but would probably be wrong. There is a reson I asked this seemingly obvious(stupid) question, Pete, which is: when you were in NM, you told me you needed to tell those of us using the PET about filters, but that never came up in the training. My real question ( which might seem just as stupid) is whether I, as a PET owner, need to use the 2C squish PET design rather than the 2Csquish- or does it matter? Maybe the name of the design has nothing to do with this question, but I have no idea. I am one the brink of giving up on this, as I find it so difficult to get in my head all of the information you have in yours. Guest guest
If you look in the Signal Diagram Window of the two designs, you will see that in the one for PET there are two additional filters coming off the Source. One is a Lowpass filter, the other a Highpass filter. The Oscilloscope (raw waveform) and spectrum analyzer (brain mirror) both come off this chain of two filters. This is only necessary with the PET, because the PET is a different type of amplifier. It only affects the display on those two devices. You can see how they are placed on one of the designs and then put them into any design you want to use them in. Remember the Nike dictum: Just Do It. The more you try to " understand " the more frustrating it can get, whereas if you just hook up and train, you will often get very comfortable with it. That's how I got as much stuff in my head as I have over the past 15 years.
