Guest guest
I'm curious about this...I've always been rather womanly and have been heavier than people might guess because I've carried it well - I've never had much of a bikini stomach, but when I've been thin, I've still been heavier than one might guess for my height. Since the bleed out nearly two years ago, my tummy is distended like I'm 4-5 months pregnant (extremely ironic, of course, since I had a tubal ligation that precipitated the bleeding). Looking pregnant happens with people with my kidney ailment as the kidneys fill with cysts and expand - my kidneys are double normal size, but that's nothing compared to those whose kidneys can grow to be 10 pounds or more - record is 38 pounds, I believe. (And, as most of you know, I've been reading about the possible connection between PKD and mold/nanobacteria exposure - I've lost 30% of my renal function last time we checked a year ago.) I'm sure having a gash down my entire abdomen (where they went in for the trauma surgery to remove the 3 liters of blood I lost internally) is not helpful in terms of muscle tone, but that doesn't explain why my stomach is kind of firm. I have plenty of flab on it at this point, but it isn't mushy, and I'm sure it's not muscle tone. (My doctor tells me I'm just fat and doesn't think it's interesting.) I've read about stomach problems with mold, and recently, Patti and I were looking at photographs of Tom and comparing his puffy tummy to mine. I'm THICK in the middle these days - previously when I've been heavy for me I've never been thick - just rounded on the edges. My neck is also thick these days (but my TSH levels come out normal). Please tell me about these yeast blockers...what are they. Where do you find them? Thanks, Haley tigerpaw2c <tigerpaw2c@...> wrote: As far as the stomach bloating that most men have and please no snide comments, lol, (and this was not from exposure) a couple of years ago I was taking pills called " yeast blockers " after every meal or whenever I felt like it and after about 3 months the " pregnant " look disappeared completely. It seemed like it happened all of a sudden, but I stopped taking them and it took about 6 months and my little pooch came back. Just food for thought. KC > > While on the stomach bloating topic. Guest guest
Haley, The ones that I took were just called " yeast blockers " and I don't think those exact same ones are on the market anymore. But shortly after I stopped taking there was a report either from the pharmacuticals or physicians that basically said it was " snake oil " . But at that time my stomach was flat, I could see my toes with no problem. I think there are similiar products on the market, I'd check with your health food store. Like any medications check with your doctor first, remember I'm not a doctor. I just took them when ever I felt like it, I figured they couldn't hurt and didn't have a reaction. But that was just me, some people may/could have a reaction to them. I like my pizza's and breads and I figured that where most of the yeasts were stemming from. Hope this helps, KC > > > > While on the stomach bloating topic. My husband and my daughter > both looked > > like they were about 5 months pregnant. Guest guest
Remember mold damages the pituitary gland- pituitary problems- and there are hosts of them- can cause lots of weight issues- like cushings- that can cause many health problems- maybe you should be checked out by a endocrinologist > I'm curious about this...I've always been rather womanly and have been heavier than people might guess because I've carried it well - I've never had much of a bikini stomach, but when I've been thin, I've still been heavier than one might guess for my height. > > Since the bleed out nearly two years ago, my tummy is distended like I'm 4-5 months pregnant (extremely ironic, of course, since I had a tubal ligation that precipitated the bleeding).
