Mark,

You have to put the new macro in the XLStart folder and then do the Assign Macro routine for it.

Mark,

The macro to ‘complete’

the subj assessment, is called ‘subjver2’. Select this one when

assigning the macro.

Dear Dianne and Kris

As far as I can determine there is no macro by that name in TLC assess with optional sites. There is a file in the zip folder named TLC subjvers. The problem comes after opening this and filling in the apptopriate rating and pressing complete.

Mark,

Then it looks that the correct

macro file is not loaded during start-up of excel. Depending if you have

artifacting or not, you must find a file called ‘TLC Pro optional art.xls’

or ‘TLC Pro Optional.xls’ in the downloaded zip-file. One of

these files must be loaded in your start-up directory of Excel.

(you could also try to

open this file straight like any excel file. You must find the macro ‘Subjver2’.

Then you are sure you have the correct file. Don’t link the

file yet, press cancel ! You must find the way to start the file automatically)

The program ‘subjver2’

is a new one from Pete, not included in former ‘TLC assess with optional

sites’. The new subj assessment file (fill in form, report form) is

the file called ‘TLC subj eval ver2.xls’ but the macros that

performs the necessary operations, is ‘TLC Pro optional’.

So load the TLC Pro

optional (art).xls and replace in all your other tlc files the links to

the macros of this TLC optional (art).xls. I suggest also to replace ‘TLC

pro assess consult.xls’ file and link that one with the new macro file

too. Or that’s the way I see it.

Think everything is also

well explained in the help-file that comes with the zip-file.

If you follow the installation instructions, you will have to go to the Complete

button and right-click it to Assign Macro to it. When you do so, the list of

macros should open. If not, you may have additional XLStart folders somewhere

on your computer. If the list is there, select the file ending in Ver2. THEN

close the file and set it up as Read Only (this protects you against writing

over the original). Now when you re-open, you should be able to run the

complete button and save the report with the client name.

At the risk of sounding condescending: If you choose to download the new

assessment files and unzip them, you will find a brilliantly-written,

clear-as-a-bell word document in the unzipped folder, which is called " TLC

Assess BE Pro Install Instructions " or, if you downloaded the Infiniti version,

" TLC Assess TT Pro Install Instructions. "

Knowing that most of us on this list are computer gurus and never need--indeed

refuse to read!--instructions, I considered naming the file " Please Do Not Look

At This File " , but decided to do so might be considered manipulative.

However, if you do have difficulties getting results installing the files in the

way you intuitively feel that they SHOULD be installed, there is always the

option of...glancing at the instructions.

Thanks for the written directions for the sub. assess. As you know, I am not a computer guru and welcome directions. I think there are many of us out there but we feel intimidated asking basic questions. I may just try to download all by myself!!!

,

Basic questions are no problem. If you wonder about them, it's likely that at

least some of the other 1,000 members will wonder as well. My point (okay, I

was a bit snippy, but I had spent a long time writing those instructions) was

that if, after you try following the instructions (perhaps with someone beside

you who follows them well) you find you have a problem, that's what we're here

for.

Jo,

That's pretty accurate.

Each of the tasks that are rated relates to a specific area of the brain that is

likely to be involved in performing it. So the higher the task is rated (the

more of a problem it is perceived to be), the higher the ranking for that area

of the brain.

I use the new Subjective in several ways:

1. I look for the largest numbers on the head (and in the standard sites list

(which is always sorted to put the 5 standard site pairs in order of descending

importance) to help me when I do the objective assessment to decide which of the

training options is the best place to start.

2. I look at the Optional sites list to see if any of those are rated high (they

too are sorted in descending order) and which one I want to include in the

Objective assessment (if any).

3. I use the list of the highest rated items to help me guide the client toward

traiing objectives.

Hope you find it useful. It really has helped me make sense out of the

assessment.

Thanks,

Parks
