Guest guest
Back to how much light sprouts need (sorry, I didn't check my email for a couple days), I think they can get pretty green in just 1 afternoon of indirect sunlight. That has been my experience. The site, as well as other info I have read, has said that it is a myth that sprouts need to be grown in the dark, unless you want to keep them from greening up like in the case of mung beans and fenugreek. But for regular sprouts like alfalfa or broccoli, it is fine to grow them in indirect sunlight, and it is just as good to grow them in the dark and green them up the last afternoon or morning before you put them away--whatever is more convenient. Guest guest
n, It would be great to find a wig that you don't know you have on, as the ones I have tried make my head feel like it has a helmet on it and not something I could stand for very long. I will check the phone book and see if there Orthodox Jewish communites in my area. thanks for the tip. ... ,I guess the worst is that can happen is you will eat lots of sprouts and feel great !I hope something does help with the hair loss. Men have a hard time with it, but for women it is even harder I think. If you live near a Orthodox Jewish community, you might want to check out their wig-maker/sellers. I knew an orthodox therapist once who had a wig that was amazing. I had no idea it wasn't her own hair. n

Guest guest
Too bad she wasn't a sprout person, she would probably be alive today. There were so many natural pathways she could have taken as opposed to the conventional methods of poison, cut and burn which ended up killing her. But that is how it goes when you don't think outside of the box and you are naive enough to believe the God in the white coat. Too bad, so sad, but the poor lady is dead. ... Guest guest
Thank you! Re: When are they done? Date: Saturday, November 20, 2010, 12:20 PM The truth is that I have checked back with some of the groups that I gave talks to and discovered that most people have even forgotten that I had been there. I would say my successes are here with people like Melody. I have one guy in my gardening club that talks to me every meeting about what he is sprouting, but he was sprouting before I met him. Also, I told him how he could go to the library to use a computer to order his seeds because he doesn't have a computer ew
Guest guest
I am glad to know they only need a morning or afternoon to " green up " . I thought you had to keep them in the light for a full day to two. I noticed my broccoli sprouts looked a bit sad when I took them out of the window (indirect light) the second day. I will just do it for half to a full day, depending on the light/weather that day. Thanks for the info. Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! Guest guest
Hi. Same thing always happens to me when I try to reply to this group via email. Doesn't let me. I have to come here personally, read the post and hit the reply button. I wonder why this happens. It would be so much easier to just do it via email, but hey, it gets done. lol Melody > > > > > > > > > n, > > > That's interesting that you are a psychologist and such a rare one to look at a patient's diet in lieu of immediately prescribing psychodelic drugs which turn a person into a zombie at the same time that it fattens the pockets of the pharma co.s. Guest guest
Melody, Do you hit reply in your email program, or do you scroll down to the bottom of the message and hit the " reply to sender " or " reply to group " links at the bottom. I always use the " reply to group " link at the bottom of the message in the email, and have never had a problem. Eve

Guest guest
Oh, this is interesting. When I clicked on " reply to sender " , I got the same message. URL IS INVALID. But.... when I clicked on " Reply via web post " , it brought me right here. That's cool. So from now on, I don't have to go to , sign in, go to Sproutpeople, all I have to do is select " Reply via Web Post " NEVER KNEW THAT. Thanks VERY much. I learned something new today. lol Melody > > Melody, > > Do you hit reply in your email program, or do you scroll down to the bottom of the message and hit the " reply to sender " or " reply to group " links at the bottom. > > I always use the " reply to group " link at the bottom of the message in the email, and have never had a problem. > > Eve > >
