Guest guest
hi everyone, We're back from a week camping at the beach just 3 hours ago and so have finally unpacked enough to try to catch up. Thanks so much for the support and encouragement everyone and I would be happy to talk about setting up some sort of ISOP branch in Aus when I get back. I must admit as I watched Bridget loving the sand and the surf so much I thought what am I doing to her but then when I think of Siobhan and Madison and Moriah and Olivia and and all the other inspirational kids I know it's what we need to do. Shellie asked if I had thought about contacting the media. Actually while we were camping I had a call from a journalist from our local paper and they are coming to talk to us tomorrow. (a Sunday even.....) I don't know if I'm the publicity type but we'll give it a go. Do you think publicity will get the orthos backs up even more?? I had an email from another ortho in Sydney saying plaster casting is a terribly traumatic procedure which is particularly cruel in our climate!!!!! However we know better and are undeterred!!! Group, you are wonderful caring people who are truly helping us all. Stay tune for news and I will take photos of Miss Mehta to show everyone. Thanks for all the prayers and keep them coming our way. Oh and thanks for saying Bridgie looks like an angel. She is a great kid and full of personality and also opinions!! Love Bert & Bridget __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Bert I was wondering where you were! Hope you had a fun family time together before The Trip? When Siobhan had her first cast cut off, she got to lie in the hospital bath, its huge and deep, for AGES! She had so much fun splashing in the water, that I too worried if I was doing the right thing by having her go into another cast. Thats until the xray saying that her lumbar curve is at 8 DEGREE'S!!!!!!! Then I KNEW what we're doing was right for her. Let us know what happens with the journalist. We'll be hoping and praying that you can get as much help as possible with the journey.
