Sea anemones catch fish that way, Snakes kill their pray that way but a snakes toxins don't affect themselves as long as these toxins stay in their digestive tracts. So they can consume their pray without falling victim to their own toxins. Penicillin is used to kill infections, how do we know that this mold is not " feeding " on the bacteria/mold as well as killing it in defense. Just a hair brained thought.
