Guest guest
Hi Trish and welcome to a great group with wonderful, informative and helpful members. Trish tell us about the new chairs: type of material, fabrics, etc. Then perhaps we can offer some suggestions if possible. You must be chemically sensitive not being able to tolerate the new chairs. Where you injured by toxic mold also? Thanks, Rosie [] new chairs at church Hi I'm new to the group. Our church has recently bought 200 chairs to replace the worn pews and I haven't been able to attend service cause of the outgassing of some chemical in them. It has been about 1 month since the chairs have been here and it seems to still be as bad as day one. Any suggestions on how to help this process hurry along would be greatly appreciated. Hi Trish, Sorry to hear there is an off gassing from what was probably a major expense already for your congregation. I could give you a couple of suggestions to try and rectify the problem. But they would be just educated guesses. My suggestion to you would be to put your question out on the IEQuality _Chatboard. iequality _ (mailto:iequality ) . There are many who work within the Indoor Environment industry on that board. Many have years of education and degree from studying this issue. You are likely to get a variety of suggestions and answers there. Good Luck, Sharon Kramer
Guest guest
Thankyou for your response. The chairs are a fabric so I'm sure they have some sort of protection to them.
