Guest guest
Hello Roxygardens@..., In reference to your comment: è What does anyone think of Yeast & Gluten Free è Millet Bread? Is that a no no as well? nne ******Those with compromised immune and chronic illness do much better when we do Gluten free........There are many awesome gluten free products out there, so if you are a pasta eater there are many good pasta gluten free products. It is imperative that we stay away from fast foods, processed foods.....the more fresh veggies and fruit we can do the better for our immune. I took it several steps further and threw out my microwave over 5 yrs ago, got rid of all pots and pans EXCEPT for glass and stainless steel. Teflon is DEADLY for those with compromised immune and fighting chronic illness. The Newman brands that are gluten free are very good. There are many other good products...Amy's brand is another good one....I get an almond, gluten free, kosher cracker that is to die for.....yummmmy *****It took me a while before I could get through my knoggin to do these changes, but let me tell you, when I did, it was unbelievable how much better I felt. I'm on a fixed income and do mostly organic.....it is cheaper than you think for one person. When I have dinner guest they can't wait to come, as they are always surprised at how good everything taste.....I use a lot of fresh herbs, cold-pressed Olive Oil or Coconut Oil, tons of fresh garlic and there are so many canned organic fillers. As an example.....I got a large can of roasted red peppers in garlic and cold-pressed olive oil, which was organic from t he 99cent store.....Another trick you might try....at Sprouts, Wholefoods and Trader Joe's, if you are there the day of their fresh produce delivery's, and of course get to know the produce manager, you can get discounted produce for less than half the price and sometimes free. :-)) I'm also the coupon queen.....When Sprouts have their chicken breast sales (no antibiotics/growth hormones/free range) for $1.49 a pound, $20.00 dollars gets you a LOT of boneless, skinless chicken breast....I bring it home, wash and dry it and put it in small freezer bags for single servings....This is the same chicken most spent $4.49 a pound. *****All of this takes commitment, but when your finances are tight and your health is important you find the strength to commit. ******If you have a juicer, juicing is wonderful for our immune.....BTW, for those with compromised livers a CBC cocktail is great for your liver. You juice a cucumber, beets, carrots.....your liver will love you...:-)) *****I will be posting many healthy recipes on our website....I have over 300 juicing and smoothie recipes to post there....but will eventually get them up....
