Guest guest
Greetings, I, too, dislike people calling the kombucha a " mushroom " . The definition of a mushroom is - " A fleshy, umbrella shaped fungus, often edible " . Musrooms also produce spores, which are somewhat like seeds. As we all know kombucha does not fall into this definition. Kombucha is a culture of yeasts and bacteria. Some yeast produce spores but never mushrooms. Mushrooms are the fruit of fungus, the kombucha SCOBY(what people call the " mushroom " is basically a big yeast patty.
