Guest guest
Melody, I am soooooooo impressed by you. You are definitely our " Ambassador of Sprouting " . Just think of it....if only one person listens to your advice of all that you talked to today ...you could have saved that persons life. Convinced them that Splenda is really a drug, not something that will help them control their diabetes. That taking control of what they put in their mouth could be the start of the road to recovery. You are a wonder! I am a vegan and know in my heart that eating that way is the healthiest and can stop, cure or control many diseases , but rarely would I have the courage to " tell it like it is " the way you do. Your an inspiration! Sincerely Lorri in NH On 9/9/2010 4:29 PM, Melody wrote: > > You will all enjoy this. Guest guest
Mel, Have you applied for that grant yet? Talk to your Dr. about getting you some speaking engagements to talk to people about sprouts. I'll bet you'd love to do that and get paid too. About your You Tube Videos, you might think of removing some of the old ones, because you don't do it that way anymore. ew Re: I just gave a sprouting lesson on a bus!!! Guest guest
Hi EW: As Yul Brynner said in THE KING AND I So let it be written....so let it be done!!!! The old videos are GONE!! lol And about me getting a grant and speaking in front of my doctor's patients, I do this every single time I go there. His patients ARE ALL ITALIAN. Most of them are over the age of 50 AND NOT ABOUT TO CHANGE. They eat their meat and cheese and bread and sausage. I had one lady in the other room and the doctor was talking about her diabetes and how she should watch her intake of carbs. She looked at me and said " I'm too old for this, I like my pasta " . Of course I told her about the low-carb kind. Dreamfields for example. You would have thought I said a bad word. Oh my God!!!! Low-Carb Pasta (in an italian neighborhood where they make their own pasta??). Never gonna happen. But the people on the bus, yeah, I managed to reach a few of them. Take care, Melody

Guest guest
Melody,I am pretty new to sprouting and have been very inspired by your and 's  videos. Somehow the idea of eating beautiful green sprouts this upcoming Winter is helping me get through the idea of Winter! I look forward to more of your videos. n (who loves Summer & Sprouts) n Rollings, PhDNJ Licensed Psychologist #4686www.DrnRollings.com Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world... Guest guest
Hi there, I had just uploaded a video of my brand new batch of plump, delicious and most of all GREEN sprouts. I took it about 10 minutes ago, and the video was supposed to be 30 seconds. Guess how much it recorded? 4 seconds. At least you can see my sprouts. I hate my webcam. Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1lzTyMPcp4 You'll probably have to hit re-play several times to appreciate the greenness of them. I put them on my shelf in the kitchen earlier today. It's very cool here in Brooklyn. I just rinsed them this morning, and they had not dried out at all. I have had them under my lighting pole lamp. That is the best thing I ever did. Look at how green they are? I HAVE TO GET A FLIP VIDEO THING. I have NEVER owned a camcorder in my life. I am only familiar with webcams and my old one was MUCH better than this one. Yuck. lol Melody > > > > > > > > You will all enjoy this. I was taking the bus to bring my doctor a > > > > batch of sprouts and to pick up my husband's medicine. Guest guest
Mel, most people don " t want to change, especially something as primal as their habitual eating patterns. My mother only wanted to eat the same kinds of food that her mother made when she was growing up, so meat and potatoes and overcooked vegetables were her standard fair. I don't think she knew what to make of me, I do think she was somewhat appalled by the quart of kefir that I always had fermenting on my counter. Now, my sister is prediabetic and very overweight and she doesn't want to take diabetes pills. And I tell her that she knows what to do. Then she says, " But I don't want to eat like you! " And there you have it. I just read that the highest incidence of diabetes is on the Indian Reservations, even the little children are type two diabetics. Must be all the fry bread; fats and carbs, just like a doughnut. Guest guest
I agree with Leron Bouma most people know what is good diet and life-style and of course how to eat nutritious food. Knowing does not mean acting on it. As it is most people DO NOT want to change. I am a yoga practitioner meet many people in my yoga class. I have been sharing on how to have a healthy life-style. I also realized from their shapes and looks even though some comes to class often they will continue their un-healthy diet and life-style as well. In my practice that is their " path " their " choice " due to their innate characteristic. - ainjali ________________________________ From: Leron Bouma <leronb@...> Sent: Fri, 10 September, 2010 19:56:57 Subject: Re: I just gave a sprouting lesson on a bus!!!
