>>On Behalf Of who

just be careful when takeing herbs, if you have allergies, they can

do more harm than good. I'm not sure exactly why I have a bad

reaction to a lot of drugs, maybe because of MCS. but I tried several

herbs that were supposed to be for detoxing and got very ill, I was

told it was because of allergies, I than tried just 1 or 2 of them,

still not good. I have read that corn is used as a filler in a lot of

pills. and I am allergic to corn.>>>>

I wish I knew your name so I could address you properly. I'm sorry you are

having so many problems and allergies.

Being an herbalist I need to clarify for the group that " if you have

allergies, they can do more harm than good " is too broad a statement to make

and does not reflect the truth about medicinal herbs. A well-trained

herbalist will not suggest an herb to match a symptom; rather do a full

medical history and match the person to an herb. Also a good medicinal

herb formula should not contain corn and I've never seen corn as a filler

with herb products. We do use corn silk, zea mays, as a medicinal herb.

Would you be so kind to share with us exactly what " herb " products you took,

dosage and duration?

Concerning detoxing; often we are too ill to initially " detox " and again

this is such a broad definition of the word it does not convey any real

meaning. I realize in cyberspace and in some health food stores " detox " is

word used often but for clinical herbalist and other practitioners it is

defined to what one wishes to accomplish. Often if one has any

gastrointestinal distress that must be first addressed before any detox

protocols should be suggested. It takes training and experience to help

others with medicinal herbs and we should not take an herb just as we don't

take an OTC drug or an RX drug.

>>what can happen when your suffering from MCS and your put out for sergery?

germs and smells in hospitals, and closed in waiting rooms full of

sick, purfume wearing people are not where I want to be. >>

I also have MCS and understand your concern and frustration. Are you able

to find a physician who is trained in MCS to assist you?

>>It was dignosed by a regular doctor and they give you a mild senative for

anixity. I told them I'd need a strong one to let someone mess with

my eyes. and because I have a alnmost oppisite reaction to drugs, I

just have not been able to go threw with it>>>>

You are correct; often people afflicted with MCS will have reactions to RX,

OTC drugs and other products (even foods) which a conventional physician is

unaware. It is very difficult for individuals such as you needing medical

assistance and not having access to specialized physicians. I'm sorry,

Rosie

thank you and lymeangel for your replys, this was a herb doctor that

my first attorney sent me to, my attorney said he was a expert and

would be a expert on my case, when I got there, he told me his

testamony would not stand up in court. anyway..he did no dignoseing(I

never knew anything about mold exposure at the time except that I was

very ill)he did no test, except regular blood work up and a sample of

my urine and didn't know why my urine had high amounts of dead white

blood cells. the blood test (my attorney told me) was supposed to be

the special blood test to prove mold in my system. anyway, heres a

list, My records are with my new attorney, so I dug out the remains

of this ordeal, may be a few missing. Multivitamin Vcaps-2 or 3, 3

times a day, Echinamax-2 caps every 2 hours,NAC-1 morn.1

nite,Lipotropic complex-1 caps. 3 times a day,B.E.32 caps every 2

hours,Alpha Lipoic Acid- 1 each meal and bedtime,Digestive formula-3

times a dayCyto-Redoxin-2 caps morn and night, Spasmplus-2 tabs every

2-4 hours,Flax oil-1-3 times a day, and somekind of mold mix that you

put under your tounge. I may of detoxed some on this, but I got to

wear I threw them up just trying to get them down. again, at this

time, I had not been dignosed with anything yet. and yes, I despertly

need a doctor. my family doctor misdignosed me for years and I no

longer will go to him. So far, I have been dignosed with

trichathecene mycotoxicosis,(Dr. Crofts urine test) allergies to many

things, food allergies,(was supposed to go back for more test but

cant afford it) MCS, asthma ,cronic sinusitis and candida, from a

doctor far away. before this I made a trip to the mayo clinic and

was dignosed with fibromyalgia " like " symptoms, possiable LGS,

dierrahia with blood, caterax and double vision, positable sleep

apnea, asthma, cronic rinusitis, macanical back pain , anixity and

mood disorders. but it was to controversal for them to say all this

was caused by mold

exposure .

Yes, it can be helpful to learn the families of plants when you are dealing with

allergies like

that. I found lists in the back of cookbooks for allergies, also in allergy

books.

If you are feeling bad when you are trying to detox, well, some of that is par

for the

course, and it is helpful to learn which reactions can be expected from the

detox, as

opposed to reactions from allergies. Candida sites have useful info on that. I

had to do

trial and error myself.

I know what you mean about being scared to go out in public, esp doctors and

hospitals.

Why would you need to take drugs for anxiety when you are likely to have a bad

reaction

to the drugs- my doc said he sees that with many mold patients, both the MCS and

the

drug sensitivty. At least you can try to see how much it improves with treatment

before

you go have surgery.

Are you getting treatment for the toxins? and is it a regular doc or an

alternative person

who knows more about the toxic stuff....

IM not getting any treatment right now, cant find a doctor. and

after wakeing up during my hisderictomy, Im scared to have sergery.

my hisderictomy was before I started haveing MCS symptoms and I just

dont want doctors touching me unless they know exactually what they

have on theri hands. after a doctor gave me those herbs without

even knowing what illnesses I had or that I had allergies, and my

family doctors misdignoses, I,d rather suffer than to go through

anymore. I am glad to say that my post stress syndrome has greatly

improved sence getting out of the mold. it was bad, I thought I had

lost my mind. and it didn't take any medicenes for it to get better,

just getting away from mold and

time.

I'm so sorry you have not had good medical care. Did you ever ask your

attorney why he sent you this person who could not testify for you in court?

Curious what type of " doctor " he is. A licensed N.D.?

When I became ill from toxic mold I couldn't find a doctor who was educated

in toxic mold illness and unfortunately this is the case with most of us.

We need many more trained M.D.'s across our country and the world.

My thoughts on the supplements you had to take is that your body was too ill

to digest and assimilate all these supplements. Often our digestive system

is affected and your poor body was already overloaded and unable to handle

so much. Also with your MCS you may be reacting to the fillers in many

supplements and also Rx drugs. Those with toxic mold illness and MCS are

not able to tolerate as many protocols as " normal " people. Looking at your

list you had quite a few to take. I hope you did go back to the doctor to

tell him you cannot tolerate his protocol. It seems he gave you too many

things that had too many different actions in your body which can even

confuse a healthy body. Some to " boost " your immune system, some for

" detox " , some for liver, your digestive system.....too much at one time for

someone like you.

Is there any possibility you could consult with some of our expert

physicians? Perhaps if you shared where you live others on the group could

suggest some doctors to you.

My heart aches for you.
