Thanks for your input. It would be nice to get data from each approach. In the Flexyx 'manual' they say that learning can be faster when there is not so much 'bells and whistles' (the manual seemed to contain a lot of sound advice, hence I weight it as at least somewhat trustworthy). I don't know if this is true. It certainly is not true as long as there's a lot of hi beta I think. Tommi

Guest guest
Thanks, Sherrie. I like that idea. Mark control freaks! Mark Although I find that most adults are the control freaks and want to know how they are making that noise and try and figure out how to "control" the scoring, etc. I DO NOT use any animation at all. I have a drawer FULL of hand-held simple non-thinking games. Many adults find it very relaxing and mindless to play solitaire or tetris on a hand-held game and then they don't even think about the beeping. Just a thought. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Malcolm. I referred to the FNS chapter document, available here in doc or pdf. http://tinyurl.com/dprsw It's not a manual really, but does contain tidbits about how Flexyx works and good NF practise.
