Guest guest
Hi Jusuf, This is Elvy. I'm Indonesian and live at Florida. I want to know how do you get your kombucha? Is it from Indonesia? Because I might want to know the supplier in Inodnesia because my parents need it. I sent some kombucha that I grow myself seem didn't work well for my parent, they said the kombucha didn't grow in the tea... anyway, I think the kombucha that I sent is too small (I grew it in the plastic tube). please email me how do you get the kombucha. thank you. Guest guest
1928 Dr. Maxim Bing http://w3.trib.com/~kombu/FAQ/part06.html Further reports in the same year from Dr. Maxim Bing, recommended Kombucha for arteriosclerosis, gout and also intestinal deficiency. With arteriosclerosis, a freshly prepared culture of the mushroom may alleviate symptoms of high blood pressure, anxiety, irritability, pains, headaches and dizziness. Constipation caused by a sluggish response of the intestines may also be treated by this remarkable fungus. He also noted that it was useful in the treatment of kidney stones and was " effective in the capillaries of the Brain " . Arthritis and gout are considered to be conditions which may be explained by the accumulation of toxins in the body. When a sufferer of these conditions starts to drink Kombucha on a daily basis, these toxins are dissolved and excreted by the kidneys by virtue of the fact that they couple with glucuronic acid to form soluble glucuronides or paired Glucuronic acid. > Does anyone know anything about kidney stones and if KT dissolves them > annie > >
Guest guest
It depends on how you feel about putting k-tea into plastic (which is known to leach out toxins from metal when exposed to it for a length of time.) I personally would never put my k-tea in plastic, as I don't want the estrogen producing toxins not to mention any other toxins (which can cause you to gain weight) leached from the plastic, however, there are those who do put their k-tea in plastic bottles, and it doesn't bother them in the least that it is putting toxins into their body. It is like drinking water from plastic bottles, have you ever tasted water that has been left out in the sun in a plastic bottle? It is nasty tasting, and you know good and well that the taste had to come from the plasticizers in the bottle. I would never take the chance to make my k-tea into something unhealthy for you, but like I said there are those who argue that it is perfectly fine, and use them anyway, and have used them for years. I just personally don't want any extra estrogen, as it can cause you to have estrogen dominance in your body which messes with your hormones, causing P.M.S. which of course causes grouchiness, ETC. ETC!! Do a research on the internet and then decide. Some of the people in this group have tried brewing their k-tea in plastic, and have had mold growing, one I remember said it was the first time she had ever had mold growing in, I think 20 some years of brewing k-tea (needless to say, she said she was going to brew in glass only from then on.) If the food grade plastic buckets can do that, I just wouldn't take the chance to bottle them into plastic bottles. Their are many recommendations by those who have been brewing for many, many years, and when us newer kt brewers stray from their recommendations, we come crying to them wondering what in the world happened. Personally, I just like to follow the directions from those who have many years of brewing kt under their belt. It is up to you.
