Guest guest
, I take a lot of concentrated fish oil, and 3 different brands of resveratrols everyday. They have found resveratrol to be dose dependent in some studies - better results 3x day. I do take ALA (alpha lipoic acid) with biotin and too many other supplements to mention. I do exercise everyday, eat right, and try to practice a positive attitude. A new book out by Art Linkletter: " How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life " . I believe it is a must read. He is 94 and doing more at this age than anyone else I know. He talks about supplements, nutritious food, exercise and positive attitude. He lists some " super foods " such as sweet potatoes, watermelon, grape tomatoes, blueberries, and wild salmon. There is another man: Dr. Bob Delmonteque that has a picture of himself at age 80. Although I haven't heard anything about Dr. Bob lately? Anyone else know how he is doing? He has been into health and longevity for 70 years. Said he has travelled all over the world searching for longevity secrets, including hiking in Tibet. Now says it is very simple: clean water, fresh air, sunshine, exercise, nutritious food, supplementation, and positive attitude. I do think life extension with quality of life is a combination of all these things. Picture of Dr. Bob Delmontaque: http://www.bobdelmonteque.com/ S.J. This bottle has 100 caps with 320 mg ALCA and 300 mg ALC, so each cap has 1.58 gm equivalent of ALC and at about $35/bottle (member, 4 bottle price) 25/158 gm = $0.22 per gram equivalent of ALC. ALC alone sells at some <http://www.americannutrition.com/store/acetyl_alpha.html>discount and bulk vitamin stores in powder or even in caps at as low as $0.15 per gram. One can argue that LEF has great quality, of course. I suggest, based on the research of Bruce Ames, Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, that you also be certain to take alpha lipoic acid and biotin at the same time. This will help give you lots of energy, burn fat, increase insulin sensitivity. ALC(A) and ALA are very synergistic and biotin helps them do their work. How much of each of these things are you taking? Quantity, source? I'm looking for the best source for curcumin especially. ALCA, Resveratrol, Blueberry, Curcumin, Green Tea, Quercetin, Fish Oil. New research also highly implicates high blood sugar in Alzheimers, some researchers believing it to be the main cause. Do you carefully monitor and control your blood glucose?
