Hi Jim:

People post with different preferences, top, bottom and after each

relevant paragraph of other's posts. Similar to sex, all positions

are good in my view.

Nevertheless, I prefer top posting. My email client will enforce

either top or bottom and comes bottom by default. I switched it to

top because I prefer to see the reply, at the top when I first open

the mail. It seems that is now the norm of the majority. I've

missed many bottom and middle posts when in a hurry because they were

buried in the previous stuff.

I totally agree that " Ur " " yr " and " U " do not belong in these

posts. They may be good in IM for response time reasons, but being a

fast typist and not lazy, I don't even use them there.

I for one do not intend to crop my posts and it irritates me when

people do. I want the whole thread right there.

The " new, improved " Yay-hoo group message format makes it difficult to

reply at the bottom of the post... Sry.
