Guest guest
Hi all. I just joined not long ago. I had posted about a skin issue earlier. Apparently I have developed eczema. I'm 22 and have never had this happen before. My dad had it when he was young, and my 1 1/2 year-old son has it as well. Poor me. If I wasn't a vegetarian I'd go eat some worms. That's what's wrong with my thumb, anyway. It's driving me ccccrrrrraaaazzzzzyyyyyyy. Since high school I've had this perfect skin, and now eczema. Eczema!!! Grrrrrrrr. Anybody know of something for this? For my son, we have Elidel, which we don't use after reading the info sheet. We use hemp lotion and that works very well for him. It hasn't done much for me, though. I tried the tea tree oil and it got really irritated. Same with the whatever on my back, which I'll get to later. I had tried using tea tree oil a while back when I stupidly put in non-gold earrings, six of them, again- stupidly, I knew better, and my ear got really irritated. The tea tree oil did the same then as it did this time. Dried it out and made it hurt. Maybe I'm allergic to it? I have a steroid cream for my thumb, which I took gladly since it's driving me to the brink of cutting the whole thing off with a kitchen knife. It's bad. Anyway- on my back, and on my daughter's face, it is some kind of bacterial infection. I went to the doctor today, and he had to get another doctor to come look at it, and together they decided that even though it had some characteristics of a fungal something or other, it must be bacterial, so they gave me mupirocin 2%, which again, I am using with much happiness. Antibiotics and steroids. Fun. If anyone knows something else I could try, please, please let me know. It's driving me mad.
