Guest guest
Hello! I'm a newbie with questions about a thin baby culture on a brew that's been going for at least 2 weeks. I've read that thin babies can be caused by 1) cool temps (raised the temp a couple of days ago), 2) disturbing the brew (moved it to another room in order to raise the temp), and 3) not enough sugar (probably guilty). I tasted the tea tonight and it's neither very tart nor very sweet, and the baby is super thin with a couple of large bubbles underneath. Is the whole thing ruined? Should I leave it and taste it every day? Will it ever taste good like my first batch? Should the baby be thrown out, or will it be able to grow and produce a baby of its own some day? Thanks for being here. W.
