I don't like the flavor of the black tea I've been using--I've gotten

two batches of not-so-flavorful Kombucha. So I'm hoping to use some

green and honeysuckle white tea I have on hand and try to make

something lighter. Can I make Kombucha with a mixture of green and

white tea? (Or even just white tea, for that matter?) It seems like

I remember reading something about Kombucha needing something in

black tea to thrive, and that even if you use green tea, you have use

some black tea, as well... There's so much info floating around out

there!

I meant to say white tea in the first line down there! Sorry!

Hello!

I have been using green tea exclusively for quite some time now, as we love

the KT made from it. Our cultures do just fine. But we're using Pai-mu-tan

white tea, .....don't know about other kinds and KT, however i'd give it a try.

One thing however, we discovered that when using only white tea, the KT is

better if raw brown sugar is used as opposed to the refined white kind.
