Guest guest
Celia, This is great news! You will have some muscle atrophy which is normal. Don't worry though because this will come back. I haven't gone through this yet but I spoke with my other son's PT and also Dr. D'Astous about this. If her Rvad is 0 and her curve is 10, that is so awesome. Is he going to brace at night to keep the correction? This is great news for Deirdra, your family and for all the other little babies that Dr. Hedden will be casting in the future. Guest guest
Celia, Congratulations to you and your daughter on successful casting! I am new to the group. MY name is and my son , Ian has had three casts on and is now in a brace. He is almost two years old. He has a left thoracic curve that started out at 38 degress, got worse, so we did the casting. When he came out of the cast he was 22 degress, but two weeks later in the brace, he was back to 40. We are supposed to go back to our dr. in June and we'll decide what we are doing. May I ask-how old is your daughter? How old was she whem you started the casting? What is the RVA measurement? What was her curve when you started? Thanks in advance for the info.
