Irene and Carol,

I found your posts exceptionally interesting. Let's use my test as an

example. These were taken 8/27/01. TSH levels normal (per the doc)

1.98. Free T4 is 1.11. T3 is 36 (I have written down in my notes

normal is 5 to 32). Prolactin is 12. Then she has 17-oh I'm not sure

what she is talking about (oxytocin maybe?) and progesterone is 41.

When I go in next month I will have her take another test. I would

have been 34 at the time of the first test. Now with that said, how

does the levels look to you Irene? You're saying they should be

screwed up some due to the fact I have allergies. I have a messed up

cortisol level. Right? I AM a type A personality type. Highly

stressed (I have two little type A kids what would you expect!)(Humor

me here)! I DO take all of the suppliments you can think of. I take

everything seperate. I know the level of dosage of each vitamin I

take. When I was preg. with both kids I refused to take the Prenatal

ones the doc had. I continued to take my own and just adjusted the

dosages with the babies in mind. Which means that I took a higher

amount than your normal mommy who listens to their ob/gyn would.

Ok, so now if I understood you correctly. You said don't touch any

form of cortisol. I took prednisone years ago because the doc was

trying to get rid of the eczema off my face, which was stressed

induced. I finally got rid of it on my own by taking homeopathic

sulphur. Ok so for the past week I have been using nasal spray for

the allergies. I will throw it away as soon as I am finished posting!

I never take anything (except the allergy shots). You freaked me out

with your post on the cortisol. It makes sense.

What is you opinion on the allergy shots? Also are you saying you

believe that the vaccinations (the ones our little kids are getting)

are causing the allergies due to the immune response.

Last but not least have you read a book called " The Alchemy of Love

and Lust " , How our sex hormones influence our relationships, by

Theresa L Crenshaw, M.D. This is not a sex book! It is very

interesting and goes in depth on what you were talking about. Except

it covers ALL the hormones. Which is why I was actually keeping up

with you in the first place.

Thanks Catrine!
