Guest guest
Hi , Can you please send this on to the group. I have tried to send it numerous times and it is not working from my e-mail. Thanks Tawney P.S. Merry Christmas Hello Everyone, Sorry I haven't posted anything in a long time. Things have been very busy. Tyler is doing great. He has had three casts and is now in a brace. It has been about a month now and he is still adjusting. The cast was a lot easier for him than the brace. The cast had the cut out in the middle where his stomach could expand and the brace is tight on the stomach. So he has to eat smaller amounts. He has started aqua therapy and physical therapy. His curve is now down to 20 to 25 degrees. And his RVAD is down to 16!!!! (from 43) Xrays in the brace are 2 degrees. Doctor D'Astou in Utah is hopeful. Tyler goes back in March and if his curve has progressed at all they will put another cast on him. But his back looks great. We are so thankful we were able to get him in a cast when we did. If anyone would like to talk my number is (503) 366-2735. We live in Oregon. I know there are several of you that are in the process of getting casts for your children so if you have any questions or would just like to talk call anytime. We were told by some of the doctors that casting would be too hard on Tyler but we have had a positive experience with it. Tyler has been able to keep up with his twin brother even in the cast. Take Care. Tawney
