Guest guest
Well... I talked to Nates ortho yesturday to clarify some things. He has a thoractic curve from T2 to T11. Which is basically his entire midsection. Even though his Cobb is over 15 they will not brace or cast unless he is over 35 AND over 3 years old. " Bracing an infant is unrealistic and pointless " (Isnt that a great attitude!!) I did call my pediatrician and he recommended two other doctors in the same office (like that will help) He mentioned that they are the ONLY pediatric spine specialists within the area. He is going to call a place he knows of in Cinncinnati (I can never spell that right!!) and get back to me on Monday. If he cant figure something out, then I will. My husband has now flipped and decided since his RVA is 7 that we should just " wait it out " til April. Thats when his next appointment is. My problem is that (God forbid) Nate progesses, do I really want to waste my time at a doctor who has blatently stated he wont treat him even if he progresses???? I think we should, at the VERY LEAST, find another doctor to take him to... in April... that we KNOW will treat him if (God forbid) he progresses. Id love for him to be seen sooner to get a second opinion, but I think I can handle waiting for a little while. His RVA is only 7 and his Cobb isnt over 20 YET. ..... What do you think??????
