Guest guest
Hi I would like to train my childern, both having ADHD. I'm going to buy the BrainMaster 2.5 wideband and wonder if you have advices as experienced group. One more question. Based on your expereience with ADD/ADHD patients. How effective this type of treatments? Thanks, Ronen

Guest guest
Ronen, You're probably not going to find anyone on this list who doesn't believe neurofeedback is an effective treatment for ADD/ADHD, among other conditions. I mean, you won't really get any debate - this is a board full of believers. If you feel that you need more information to explain the "hows and whys" of effectiveness of neurofeedback for ADD/ADHD before purchasing your equipment, I suggest that you read some materials specifically directed at that issue. Check out Healing ADD by Dr. Amen. It has a chapter on NFB and attention deficits. Also, you might want to read The 20 Hour Solution by Steinberg and Othmer. Also, the www.EEGinfo.com site has a section with papers and case studies, etc. I'm sure Pete's www.Brain-Trainer.com site also has information. There are lots of people on this list who use the Pocket Neurobics units (or the wireless pendants) and BioExplorer software, which can be less costly than Brainmaster (I think - I don't own Brainmaster), so this could be a good place to get equipment advice, and discuss the placement of electrodes, etc. Best wishes to you, and looking forward to heairng how things go with your children, -------------- Original message from "ronenhalsadi" <ronenhalsadi@...>: -------------- > > Appriciate any information. > > > > > > Hi > > > > I would like to train my childern, both having ADHD. > > I'm going to buy the BrainMaster 2.5 wideband and > > wonder if you have advices as experienced group. > > > > One more question. > > Based on your expereience with ADD/ADHD patients. > > How effective this type of treatments? > > > > Thanks, > > Ronen > > > > > > >
