Guest guest
Mickey, From what I just read, the lump, called a ganglion cyst, is most of the time not a big deal. Some MD's believe it is associated with arthritis or the onset of arthritis. If this is the case, the KT can prove helpful, and applying cut up SCOBY, might help, but even if it doesn't it won't hurt anything. It would be interesting to know if it is in a place where your friend can put a flashlight on the opposite side of it, and see if the light shines through it. (Like we used to do as kids)This will be a good indication that it is just fluid. Here are a few sites about it: http://www.med.und.nodak.edu/users/jwhiting/ganglia.html http://www.orthoinfo.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=183 & topcategory=Hand http://www.medicinenet.com/ganglion/article.htm Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
My Sister has had a ganglion cyst on her wrist since childhood about 45 years with no problems. When she was little the doctor used to recommend hitting it with a book but it never went away. Lee <mickey16927@...> wrote:Thanks to all you have answered my question. Guest guest
Geeze Jackie, Sorry to hear that, I guess the Doctor didn't like your sister too much:) Wow, I hope she never got the mumps! On a more serious note, what a horrible thing to say to do to a child! Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
So sorry, was just sharing my sick sense of humor, and I appreciate the trivia,But, hopefully everyone knows that this is not a method or option of treatment. I mean that from what I just read about it, I am assuming that the lump is formed in one of two ways, the synovial tissue gets a weak spot which balloons out and fills with synovial fluid, or an actual tear in the tendon sheath leaks out the fluid causing the lump. The ideal scenario is for the body to eventually reabsorb the fluid making the lump go away, and if KT can help with the discomfort until this happens or can help to make it happen quicker, great, but book thumping is definitely a poor choice it can do much more damage than the actual lump, and practically insure that the condition will return. But I would suggest that you tell your friend that if even the KT doesn't help, then go to a doctor to get relief. Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
Hello, Ran Knishinsky, author of " The Clay Cure, " says that he cured himself of a ganglion cyst by drinking clay water for a few months; it just disappeared. Perhaps drinking KT will do the same thing?
