Nice if you are born with the right genetics, otherwise tough, unless

someone figures out a practical and ethical workaround. Your ethics may

vary, given time :-P

I see research implications having to do with supplementing IL-10,

some blocking of TNF.

You're welcome to elaborate on perceived ethics.

What you're talking about could apply to hormones or any drug.

It takes a culture of misinformation to perpetrate widespread

misuse, e.g. psych meds, but also a lot of patients giving

away their power, not taking responsibility for their own

learning including listening to their body, and

not exploring more natural alternatives.

Yes high risk abounds in the early stages of research and experiment.

" Early adopter " mentalities will be the first to volunteer, the

rest need not apply and can stand back in horror if they are so

inclined.

Where low hormone levels are at the root of diseases, I like

a nutritional support approch if possible, but where not effective,

then a hormone supplementation approach, rather than the

other drugs with iatrogenic harm or alternative approaches

that may not be effective. I predict low/high hormone levels

will be found to be at the root of a vast number of diseases

in which we don't currently think about hormone levels.

(It's possible classical homeopathy could address some hormone

levels, or in some cases, but I haven't seen consistent or stable

results in this area.)

Ultimately the ethics we need to be most concerned about

are our own.

For myself, I want healthcare options. I don't want someone else

limiting my options due to present unknowns. Risks and unknowns

just need to be stated - what I call " the ethics of adequate

disclosure. "
