Vegans need to stop judging other people for doping what is right for them.

Seems to me they do not like to be judged (going by what you say) but

think they have a right to judge others?

You have no right to mess with others' enjoyment of their food by

calling it judgmental names!!!

If you do not want to be there - don't.

But that does not give you the right to criticize others (nor they to

criticize your choices at Thanksgiving.

We were designed to eat meat. If you choose to ignore your design,

that's your choice, but don't impose your views on others *enjoying*

their good design as intended.

Those do not belong either - if both parties will behave in an accepting

and non-judgemental way, that would be friendly, civilized and far more

" thanks giving. " .

Absolutely not. You are more judgmental than all the anti-vegan

population put together here:

> on this day of torture,

> death, greed, selfishness and debauchery by doing the same.

Your interpretation of others' choice to HONOR their design and their

Creator in good company and thankfulness is rude, arrogant, misguided,

judgmental, non-accepting, and worse manners than I've seen in a long while.

Fasting is also contrary to our wonderful design. Your body will break

down protein destroying kidney tissues among other problems that damage

your so beautifully created body.

However, note that I give facts and do not tell you not to fast or call

you names as you do to those of us who do respect our design.

> Fasting achieves numerous benefits.

So some would like to think but unless your normal day is spent

consuming toxins rather than sensible food - there is nothing to be

gained by fasting except kidney damage, muscle damage and less immunity

to both acute and chronic disease than before.

> It is a wonderful way to clean

> out the body as far as health is concerned.

Eat well and there is nothing to clean :-))

The kidneys will not be damaged from previous fasts, nor the liver -

ands the immune system will be functioning.

I prefer to respect that wonderful design.

But if you do not, then by all means fast your body to a weak state -

it's your choice.

> Spiritually, it also cleanses the soul.

A brain without proper nutrients is not able to even meditate properly

so I think you must be joking here.

> Originally, fasting was used to 'get closer to the higher being.'

Mostly because people were toxic with fermented liquor:-)))

It was like a detox tank to clear their heads :-))

> It was also used to rid sick bodies of diseases.

Not that it worked of course. Lack of nutrition cures nothing.

And they die as a result.

Animals like people, need food to get well. I know. I am a veterinary

homeopath.

Our bodies are designed to run like a well oiled machine - provided we

supply the fuel in the form of daily nutrition.

Fasting puts cats for examnple, into ketosis faster than people, and it

is VERY hard to reverse.

> My fasting tradition has came about when I could no longer go to

> with dead carcass and by-products.

I would not want anyone at my table - even a vegan get together - who

had as foul a mouth and as little respect as you show here. How would

you like YOUR celebrations to be defiled as you do ours?

Your manners are not only missing you have replaced them with the most

rude attitude I have yet heard on the subject. I often spend holidays

with two of my best friends one vegan one vegetarian - and we all eat

what we want to eat, with total respect for each others' choices.

My vegan friends would be as disgusted at your words as I am. That

ugliness has nothing to do with your being vegan - that's just what you

use as an excuse - it is everything to do with your lack of manners.

> Even the 'religious' holidays were laughable as we traipsed to our

> building of worship only to march back to a home full of death,

Here we go again - did you put vitriol on your porridge instead of milk

this morning?

The only area you are in need of abstinence that I can see, is in the

matter of speech. If you can't be civil, say nothing - go on a word fast.

> Previous years has folks pointing out that this is a time for family

> and friends getting-together to show their love and thankfulness.

Well I and my vegan and non-vegan friends and family do just that.

You are the one failing to show love and thankfulness.

Maybe you should learn some!!!

Seems like YOU are the rude one here, as usual. Calling him arrogant,

misguided,

and un-accepting isn't name calling? Personally, I'm sick of your constant

hypocrisy.

All you ever do is criticize people for the exact things you always do. Do you

not see this?

Can't other people ever post things without your hateful, sarcastic responses if

they don't agree

with you?

I did not enjoy Fidyl's Ahimsa ThanXgiving message. However, I do not

see Irene's reply to it as helpful either. Two wrongs don't make a

right. Retaliating in kind usually just leads to an escalation in

hostilities.

I'm an omnivore, but I can respect another's choice not to eat

whatever foods they choose not to eat. At the same time, though, I

don't appreciate anyone's effort to try to make others feel guilty for

eating or not eating the foods that they choose not to eat.

That said, let's all be happy to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving in

whatever way we desire.

Best regards,

Celeste

Yep!!

Some things are only suitable for the delete key.

That nonsense was one of 'em.

I did not retaliate in kind. I did reprimand but I did not call names,

nor did I deride anyone for being vegan - I respected that - which is

exactly the opposite of what Fidyl did.

There's a difference and anyone so rude as Fidyl was, should expect

a reprimand.

It is possible and appropriate tpo respect all choices that people make.

Ridiculing was not okay and deserved to be put in its place. (I did not

ridicule in return.)

Irene, this nit-picking, pseudo-legalistic defense of yours is utter

rubbish. We're not in a court of law here and any reasonable individual

can plainly see that " in essence " , in fact, you have indeed been name

calling and engaging in VERY personal attacks when doing this sort of

thing- and you do it frequently, nearly constantly, and plainly

reflexively. No one gives a rats anus if you insist that it is " the

persons behavior " and not " the person " that you are attacking. INTENT

is the matter at hand, and your intent is plain; it is to judge, insult,

and malign. (And the intent of this note to you is indeed the same.)

Keep your bloody " reprimands " to yourself. Your arrogance is phenomenal.

You've not been appointed (not by us, and not by God), line for line, to

review the remarks of those who post here. This hobby of yours would

appear to be born of far too much free time and maybe some sort of

untreated pathology; OCD related perhaps. Am I just guessing? You bet.

And unlike yourself I'll acknowledge it.

Have you any idea how many people are members of this group? Well,

imagine if you will, that every single one of them thought it necessary

to send in their agreement or disagreement with the post about

westerners perception of sweetness. Wouldn't that be bizarre? Well,

actually no more so than you thinking it necessary for YOU to respond to

that post for ALL to see. I quote, " I agree completely " . Three words.

Your opinion. Your presumption that what you agree with or don't agree

with must immediately be sent to the homes of every blessed member of

this list. You include even the degree to which the information

receives your blessing; " ...completely " . Who cares Irene? Who are you

supposing actually cares? Colossal arrogance.

I'll speculate that you cannot possibly maintain any non-internet, real

life relationship of any depth or longevity; cats excluded. Why might I

think that? Because you're far too obnoxious to manage it; your behavior

AND yourself.

Your statement, " Your manners are not only missing you have replaced

them with the most rude attitude I have yet heard on the subject. "

looks like a personal attack . . . as does an intent to reprimand.
